Looking for advice...

Not sure what to do about Tim, Ilya did the only thing he knew to do. He went looking for his "little sister" Dixie. Even more so than Cerdian, Ilya had grown close to the younger girl in the nearly 10 years he had known her. She was wise beyond her years at times, and certainly in ways that Cerdian was not. Cerdian was not the one to give him advice, not the kind he needed.

There was a polite knock at Dixie's door, and then Ilya turned the knob and stuck his head in. If she was within her private pool then she may not have heard him knock. "((Dixie?))" he sent out with his telepathy, much as if calling. He knew that she was in the room - he could feel her mind. At times, Ilya forgot to speak aloud, he was so used to the touch of mind to mind and the honesty and intimacy that it brought.

"((Ilya!))" Dixie responded as she emerged from the pool and hurried over. "What's up?" She asked.

Slipping into the room, Ilya closed the door behind himself and smiled at the girl warmly. "Nothing really, I just needed to talk to someone." he said with a gentle smile. Reaching out he slid the palm of his hand across her shoulders, giving her a squeeze. It was an affectionate touch, but Ilya was the hugging type. "((I have a problem that is not a problem.))" he said silently. "((I.. think that I have gotten myself into a mess and I'm not sure what to do.))"

"((You're probably overthinking it, you know))," Dixie tells him, smiling. "((What's up?))"

Even though over thinking this was certainly a failing of Ilya, he didn't want to acknowledge the solution to his "problem" as being that simple.

"((I'm not over thinking it, Dixie!))" he replied, while wearing a rather rare pout. "((Honestly - I have no idea what to do.))" He hesitated for a beat, and then scrubbed his hands through his hair as he said "((I think I got married without meaning to, and now I don't know how to break it to my parents.))"

"((You can't get married without meaning to, Illya. If you somehow signed a paper wrong, there's laws to just get it annulled. I don't think there's any other way to accidentally get married. What makes you think you did?))"

"((I wasn't talking about in surface dwelling laws.. I mean by the laws of my home.))" replied Ilya. He looked pained having to explain it all, and it took him a moment to gather his words. "((You know how I have been helping Tim?))" he then asked, "((Well.. I think that I accidentally married him. I don't know what else to call it.))" he sighed, "((We've been spending a lot of time together, and then we kissed.. I'm not even supposed to touch someone else unless they are family. And I kissed him!))"

Dixie grins.
"((Okay, two important questions: 1. Have your parents told you they have someone else for you to marry? And 2. ...was it a nice kiss? D'you like it?))"

Flopping down onto the floor, Ilya looked up at Dixie still wearing that pained expression. She was enjoying this all far too much.

"((They have not told me that they had anyone for me ot marry, but I'm also the youngest son, so I'm kind of on my own in that respect.))" he said softly. "(( And yes.. I did like it. We've done other things since then. He has spent the night in my room a few times, it was much nicer than I'd like to admit to get to hold him close.))" Oh if Ilya could blush, his face would be beet red.....

"((So.. what I'm hearing is that, as the youngest son, with no plans set for you, you can handle your relationships any way you want, right))"

"((That still doesn't remove the fact that I married him, and I don't think that he has any clue.))" replied Ilya miserably. He then pushed his hands into his hair, and fell back fully onto his back. "((It feels like an imposition to explain that to him.))"

Dixie stood there, hands on hips, looking at him. "((You know you're not actually in Surat right now, right? So you don't have to be married to someone to kiss and snuggle them.))" She's not thinking of anything beyond kissing and snuggling, as this is all that dreamy big brothers do, ever. Ew. "((You're just boyfriends. Like local people have.))"

"((I know that I'm not in Surat, but does that change things? This is what I've believed all my life, and it's hard to wrap my mind around the whole situation. How can you be just boyfriends? Just like that? No formality? No exchange of.. of something?))"

Okay, Ilya was totally over thinking it, and from the looks of things, about to give himself a panic attack on the floor from all that over thinking. He looked decidedly close to panic.

"((Ilya. Breathe))" And as she thinks it to him, Dixie will look intently at him to make sure he's doing so.

"((You want formality? I, Dixie of Poseidonis, hereby recommend that you, Surat Sikh Illya, have an Official Relationship Conversation. Later))"

Ilya just gave Dixie a rather odd look and then cross his arms over his face in utter embarrassment. Despite the fact that breathing the air was not nessisary for the continuation of his existance, it was still a calming thing and Ilya obeyed Dixie's command. He drew a deep breath into his chest and then thought to her "((Not formality from you, formality between myself and Tim. We have had what I believe would be considered an official relationship conversation. He's really happy to spend time with me, and actually wants to spend more time with me than he already does. He'll stay in my room with me for hours in my pool and we'll just talk. It's fantastic.))"

"((That sounds really nice. Sounds like things are actually pretty good with him.))"

Drawing in another big breath, Ilya blew it out before he peeked at Dixie from under the shelter of his arms. "((It is really nice. I'd like you to get to know him more, he's a good person. He's just a little lost and I think that his personality is still forming a little bit. Tim is still uncomfortable in his own skin, which is why..))" he sighed, then said "((I'm just deathly afraid that he'll get tired or bored and move on and then I'll be stuck alone. I know it's something that I shouldn't worry about so much, but I do.))"

She smiles at him. "((Ilya. You're going to be okay. He's lucky to have you. You're dreamy.))" She giggles.

"((I know that I'll be okay, I just gotta stop worrying so hard.))" replied Ilya as he lowered his arms and smiled at Dixie. Pushing himself up to his elbows, he looked at the girl for a long moment, then said "((I would ask how you know so much about these things, but then I remembered. When you were off being a kid, I was sitting in a room studying magic.))"

"((Always happy to catch you up on the Advanced Adolescence Course, Illya. Gotta warn you, though. It's way harder than cantrips.))"

"((Significantly harder.))" replied Ilya with a grin to the younger girl. He sighs the air left in his lungs out, then looks to her and asks "((Sometimes I wonder if I'm fully adjusted to life out of the water. Times like this remind me that I probably am not as integrated as I thought.))"

"((You're fantastic, and you'll do all right))"

Eyeing the girl, Ilya just grinned a bit and then shook his head as he said "((You have unending optimism, Dixie. Thank you.))" he paused a second, then said "((Now I just have to figure out how to tell your brother. He's a lot harder to talk about this stuff with.))"

Dixie paused. "((Can I be there when you tell him?))"

"((Of course.))" replied Ilya without hesitation. He then offered a bit of a shy smile before he said "((I'd like you to be there.))"
